Sass '63, Chairman and CEO of M.D. Sass, one of the nation's leading independent registered investment management firms, is greeted by a student at the M.D. Sass Investment Institute dinner last November. The institute, a student-involved hedge fund, was established in 2015 as a new experiential learning initiative in the Koppelman School of Business at Brooklyn College.

Reaching (Out) for a Cure

The newly-opened Brooklyn College Cancer Center is looking to build on the school’s already robust reputation of cancer research and expand educational opportunities for students who are choosing careers in the field of oncology. But there is an equally important third goal: outreach to its surrounding community to help address disparities in cancer studies, treatment, and education.
